If such permission is granted, the source must be acknowledged at time and place of use. David Gorman HOME TIGER WOODS and next year will be intriguing for Rory McIlroy. Rory really needs another major soon after a three-year drought and after a three-month break to tune up his game, he will be looking for the best possible preparation for the Masters, the missing piece of the Career Grand Slam. McIlroy has fallen eight places in the World Rankings this year, and has watched younger players like Justin Thomas, Hideki Matsuyama, Jordan Spieth and Jon Rahm steal his thunder, so it will be great to see his response to that. It will also be interesting to see every top player's response to the return of Tiger Woods to the PGA Tour in 2018. The 14-time major winner showed promise with a tied 9th finish at the recent Hero World Challenge, and more importantly, showed no signs of the back pain that have plagued his previous seasons. Then there will be great interest in how World Number 1 Amateur Leona Maguire performs as a professional, as she plans to turn professional in May. Have a great Christmas and see you next year!
